At MD-802 there are several ways for cadets to become involved in the unit:

 

Drill Team- cadets who are interested in the sharpness, precision and the spirit of competition of drill

 

Color Guard - cadets interested in presenting the Colors at various events in the school and community

 

Athletic Team - cadets who are athletically inclined/interested in participating in sports and competing among other JROTC units.

 

Community Service - cadets who participate in such activities as: Back-To-School Night, Adopt-a-Highway, Parades, annual Health Fairs or any event we are made aware of.

 

Kitty Hawk Air Honor Society- cadets that have a cumulative GPA above 3.0. 

 

Awareness Presentation Team - cadets willing to research and develop ways to provide information to middle school students on subjects that are important such as: Bullying, Gun Violence, or teenage drinking and driving.

 

Cadets are able to earn many awards during the school year. We have a Quarterly Awards Assembly following each quarter.  At that time cadets are recognized for all of their achievements during the quarter.
